Medellin, the second-largest city in Spanish-speaking Colombia, is also very affordable, with plenty of free or cheap public gardens and museums.

Medellin’s robust public transportation and cablecars that take you up into the hills are some of the best in South America. In fact, Medellin has one of the fastest growing economies on the continent and has become a world-renowned hub for sustainable urban development. After decades of civil war, Medellin has transformed itself to become a beacon of entrpreneurialism and resiliance throughout Latin America.
